Senior Ava B. has earned the grand prize in the Team America Rocketry Challenge (TARC) essay contest, "Why I Do TARC."

In her essay, Ava reveals that although she was initially attracted by the promise of "flames and free food," her participation in TARC has yielded far more. Read Ava's essay and learn more about TARC.

TARC is the world's largest rocket contest and the aerospace industry's signature STEM program for middle and high school students. The essay competition celebrates its 15th anniversary.

NDA participates in TARC as part of its STEM Pathways (SP2) program. Congratulations to Ava and the NDA Rocketry Team!
