Transfer Applicants
Transfer students are accepted after a personal interview and careful consideration of the scholastic record, standardized test results, and recommendations from the student’s current principal, math teacher, and English teacher.  Notre Dame Academy maintains an open enrollment policy in concert with the California Interscholastic Federation State Federated State Bylaws: Article 2, Section 222.

Applications are available online.  Please complete our Inquiry Form to get a username and password so you can begin the application.  Consult the "Tuition" page for the Tuition Assistance Grant (TAG) application for transfer students.

Official transcripts, including grades and standardized test scores, are required.  (See Transcript Release Form below.)  Applicants currently in 9th grade should provide 8th grade records and any high school entrance exam results, if applicable.

Reference Letters

References are required from the applicant’s current math teacher, English teacher, and principal or academic counselor.  An additional character reference is optional.

Graded Writing Sample

Please submit a graded essay from a current English course.

Please call the Admissions Office at (310) 839-5289 ext. 213 to schedule an interview.

Applicants applying for 10th grade are asked to submit any HSPT and ISEE scores.  All 10th grade applicants without HSPT or ISEE scores may be required to take the HSPT as part of the application process.  All other transfers may be asked to take an English or math placement test before acceptance.  Transfer students interested in Honors or AP courses will require additional testing.
