Empowering Young Women through Sport

At NDA, we offer a dynamic athletics program that not only cultivates athletic skill and strives for championship level performance but also fosters teamwork and leadership skills. Through competitive sports and team-building opportunities, we empower young women to excel both on and off the field, preparing them for successful futures in college and beyond.

NDA is home to award-winning teams and scholar athletes who go on to play at the collegiate level

  • Indoor Volleyball: 3 CIF SS Championships, 7 League Championships, over 50 alumni have gone on to collegiate level play.
  • Beach Volleyball: 2 IBVL Championships, 1 Mission League Championship, #6 in Division 1 CIF SS Rankings.
  • Swim: 6 team members sent to CIF SS Championships in 2023
  • NDA scholar athletes have  successfully completed the NCAA process to play volleyball, soccer, softball, basketball and track at schools like Berkeley, LMU, Loyola of Maryland, Yale, UCLA, Wesleyan, Vassar, Washington University in St. Louis , St Mary’s CA, Cal State San Diego, Trinity, and more.

Over 70% of the NDA student body participates in a sport.

NDA is committed to providing our athletes with the resources and support they need to achieve their goals, while also ensuring that they are able to maintain a healthy balance between athletics, academics, and their personal lives.

Beyond athletic techniques, our athletes are supported to develop grit, resilience, and leadership skills. These invaluable qualities prepare them for challenges in careers, families, and life in general.

NDA athletes also develop leadership skills by taking on roles as team managers, serving as mentors to younger athletes through clinics and camps, handling game-day logistics and preparations, and coordinating special events, including senior nights.
